The FDA is committed to promoting and facilitating the professionalism and skills of managers and professionals in public service.

The union is building its skills programmes to help its members achieve their own personal and professional development goals.

The FDA provides its members with:

-   Career Development Services tailored for members at discounted rates

-   Access to the FDA Learn, which helps members get the most from the Professional Skills for Government programme and pursue other career development pathways, and initiatives such as the Public Sector Mentoring Scheme

-  Opportunity to train as a union learning representative and advise other colleagues about skills and training available to them.
